Tourism Queensland has kicked off an incredibly smart viral marketing campaign this week. With a contest they are running to hire someone for “The Best Job in the World”.
This is a fully paid position to become “The Caretaker of the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef.” Tourism Queensland has made it abundantly clear that winner of the “contest” will be expected to have some responsibilities, such as feeding the fish cleaning the pool and collecting the mail.
However in return the Caretaker will be rewarded with an all expenses paid round trip to and from Australia, a very handsome 6 figure salary for their 6 months hard labor, and a 3 bedroom bungalow on the beach for their troubles.
Contestants are required to submit a 60 second video to www.islandreefjob.com answering the question:
“Why do you think that you are the best person for the job?”
