Deconstructing Purpose

Hello to all the house bloggers out there.  I have just recently signed up for accounts at The Green House Effect and Houseblogs.net.  So while posting my random musings and rants about my eco-friendly condo conversion here at Deconstructing Purpose » The Green House, I will be able to reach more like minded individuals by having my posts show up at The Green House Effect and Houseblogs.net as well.

Using network television as an example, both websites would be considered a network producing/buying/gathering up similar tv shows(websites) in one place, making it easier for interested viewers/users to find new and interesting content.

Houseblogs.net

I signed up for an account over Houseblogs.net almost a year ago, before I even bought my condo.  I don’t even remember how I found the site, but I was so excited to become a part of the social circle I just had to join.  However my posts never seemed to show up until recently when I got in touch with Aaron the site’s owner and he informed me that my site had not yet been approved for “Houseblogger” status.  

So this is my inaugural post on Houseblogs.net and I would just like to extend a warm hello to everyone over there.  Thank you for all of your wonderful inspiration, I have been perusing for quite some time, and look forward to becoming an active member in the community.

The Green House Effect

The Green House Effect, is a relatively new social network with a similar idea focusing on the movement towards a more sustainable lifestyle, or The Green House Effect. The site is still in its infancy but looks interesting.

Currently, there is a section allowing you to Explore recent headlines and stories on many of the popular green blogs around the internet. Another cool feature that is up and running, is the Share section where users can share their stories, tips, information and ideas about living a greener, healthier more sustainable lifestyle.  There is are also soon to be implemented features such as the Learn section - an informational blog about living a greener life, and the Shop section - an online retailer of green products.
